User tagger for
Reddit Enhancement Suite originally by absurdlyobfuscated, edited January 2018 for compatibility with RES backup files and other fixes. The tags are generated using JavaScript and the reddit JSON API, and you can merge newly generated tags with your old backup file.
Subreddit Tagger
: Given a subreddit, loads the specified number of pages from reddit and tags any or all of submitters, commenters, and/or moderators. Multireddits are also supported if you paste the full URL into the subreddit box. Tag settings can be saved and loaded, and are stored as a cookie in your browser. The only required field is the subreddit; pages will default to 1 if empty, and the score and flair fields are only used to further restrict which users are tagged.
Link Comment Tagger
: Given the ID of a reddit link, loads page from reddit and tags all commenters. Score and flair fields are optional.
List Tagger
: Tags each username in a list of usernames. Usernames should be on separate lines or separated by commas.
Ignore List
: Avoids tagging each username in the list while generating tags. Usernames should be on separate lines or separated by commas. Default is a list of bots.
Tag Merger
: Merges a set of new tags with your RES tags. After tagging a subreddit or a list, go into your
RES settings console and backup your settings to a file. Select your backup file in the 'Choose file' input below and click 'Merge Tags'. A new backup file with both your original tags and the new tags will be saved. In your RES settings console click restore and select the new backup file. Any users that you have already tagged will not be modified as long as 'Replace conflicting tags' is unchecked, and vote weights will be unaffected if a user is tagged, and all other RES settings should be unaffected. Tags from other sources, including
/u/morpen's tag lists, may also be pasted into the 'New Tags' box to merge arbitrary sets of tags with your RES backup file.
(note: the tag merger ignores the boxes on the left once the tags are already generated).
